HAMARI VARUNA is participating in Maa Ganga Mukti Abhiyan

HAMARI VARUNA abhiyan is playing major role in Maa Ganga Mukti Abhiyan. Our co-convener Surya Bhan Singh is on Dharana with Prof.G.D.Agrawal, the veteran environmentlist at Utterkashi. Prof. Agrawal is on hunger strike to free of Ganga. Dr. Vyomesh Chitravansh, the convener, HVA told at Varanasi " our presumption is that every river, lake and waterbodies are the gifts to us by the nature, so we have no right to destroy them. but it is our duty to save and conserve them." He described with the datas, which are published by the Govt, that in coming year we will have to face a big crisis for water. The reason behind it , that we are very careless about our rivers, our lakes, our waterbodies and other natural esources. only and anly we are responsible and victims for that.

Dr. Vyomesh Chitravansh arased the questions on Goverment's intention and policies. He stated that it is looking that Govt. wants to finish all the natural resources as directed by Multy National Componies and corporate groups. He promised that the HVA will alwayes fight for the river conservation though it is ganga or any other river. For this purpose Surya Bhan is there at Utterkashi for dharana, he will get the decision and participation thre on the behalf of HAMARI VARUNA.

It is also wonderful, that our Govt. want to finish the Ganga, which is sign of faith and eternity of lots of indians and hindus. Government policies are same every where ,though it is Ganga or Yamuna or Varuna.
Now , it is a big question before us that we want to save our river , our nature, our destiny or we have to finish? think it!

Now the people are awaring about Varuna

Varuna is not only prehistorical river of varanasi region but it was the life line of this areas. It's water was very medicated and used as anticeptics. Many herbal and medicinal plantation like ashvagandha, bhringraj, brahmi, bathuaa, ghritkumari, sarpgandha, kalmegh, sankhpuspi were found on its bank. The many hindu temples and panchkroshi parikrama are also part of it. The very famous temple Pancho shivala, Rameshver mahadeo, surya mandir are also there. Before only 10 years Varuna was lifeline of Varanasi. It maintained the groundwater lavel of trans varuna areas and it was also helpful for drinking and irrigation. But now a days it is on dying bed, There is no any Govt. policy to revive her. In fact, Government is much responsible to finish it. the new siverline of the city is flowing directly in varuna at Chokaghat. The land mafias are encroching its area. With the Govt. nexus they are dumping Varuna. and no body is there to impliment the Court's order about conservation and preservation of river and water tanks.
When Dr. Vyomesh Chitravansh raised these questions by RTI and proper forums , He was tryied to keep silent by these persons, but due to his courage and wills he started his movement about Varuna , now a days he is recognised for this issue. aaAt present he has a group of local persons who are fighting for Varuna at every step with Dr. chitravansh. As a results of these , now HAMARI VARUNA is working in all adjescent districts i.e. Varanasi, Jounpur, Bhadohi and Allahabad. Local administation is also planning to do something on Varuna.
Local print and electronic media are also trying to attract about the problems of Varuna and its ailing. we hope in coming days Varuna will again be the lifeline of Varanasi and Dr. Vyomesh Chitravansh will be success in his efforts.

save the Varuna, she is dying

Varuna is prehistorian river which was described in oldest hindu miths and holy books. The famous holy,cultural and oldest city of the world was named on this river. Before only 20years it was lifeline of Varanasi ,but now a days it is one of the most polluted rivers of India. There is no any living things and it's water has crossed all the parameters of pollution. Varuna is ailing.
we the HAMARI VARUNA abhiyan are a group of people among youths, advocates, students and social worker. We are trying to revive our Varuna river. Due to our efforts some work have started in Allahabad, but it is not sufficient. We are demanding the support and help of same minded people for our moovement.
